I have started this Editor’s Blog to keep everyone informed of site developments and of any issues not normally suited to the What’s New page and it will be updated on a semi-regular basis or as the need arises. November 11, 2008:
Hi All. On this remembrance day 2008 Winston arrived with a lovely box of cigars to join in the commemorations. Stay tuned. Cheers. October 27, 2008:
Hi All. Just a quick note to say that site updates may be a little slow this week as I am working on a detailed review of the Trumpeter 1:16 MGMC M16 including construction of the major sub-assemblies. As this is a big kit it is something that doesn’t happen overnight and it will probably be towards the end of the week before the review is posted, not to mention I have also just got my copy of Far Cry 2. There will be some small updates along the way so stay tuned. Cheers. April 27, 2008:
Hi All. My Site Hosting Service is currently installing new servers and migrating the site to the new server. This may result in the site being offline for a short period sometime over the next week or so. If this occurs a page will display saying "This Site Has Moved!". Any downtime should be short and sorry in advance for any inconvenience. Site access time should improve once the new server is online. Thanks. April 25, 2008:

Hi Guys, Hope everyone had a good new year? I don't normally announce forthcoming reviews as something always seems to get in the way, but as people have been waiting for this kit for so long, I'll let this one out. I received today the Trumpeter kit #00211 MAZ-537G intermediate type and a full review should be posted in a few days as there are a lot of parts to go through including quite a few etched parts. Cheers October 21, 2007:
Hi Guys, Thanks to all those who have passed on their good wishes directly or indirectly regarding my "sabbatical", very much appreciated. I will get to reply to all these as soon as possible. Unfortunately it may be a day or so before serious updates resume as there has been a few minor complications and due to the effects of some exotic drugs I'm on, my apologies and thanks for your understanding. Thanks again and there will be plenty of interesting stuff to look over shortly including the new etched MG34&MG42 Ammo Boxes from Griffon Models if you don't mind a bit of intricate assembly for the ultimate in detail. Cheers October 151, 2007:
Hi Guys, Just a quick update to advise there won't be any site updates for the next few days. I had a minor altercation with a delivery van while riding my push bike and will be spending a few days in Hospital for a "minor leg injury procedure", nothing serious just more inconvenient than anything. Should be back by the end of the week, and by then there will probably be more new releases to catch up on. Cheers September 16, 2007:
Hi Guys, Just thought I answer another oft asked question here so I don't have to keep repeating myself. I have been asked on a number of occasions why I don't include the advance images of Dragon kits in the same way I post preview shots of kits from the likes of AFV Club, Bronco, Tasca, Tristar, Trumpeter etc. The answer is very simple; Dragon don't publish advance images of new kits, just CAD drawings of the parts unlike the other Companies mentioned who release preview photos of the actual model/parts. If Dragon were to releases promotional images of the actual kit parts for new kits I'd be happy to include these as I do for the other Companies. Cheers July 9, 2007:
Hi Guys, I get a lot of private e-mail from people asking different questions on kits and the like. I trust you understand my position and appreciate no disrespect is intended. If your question was general or reference related, posting this on any of the public modelling forums may get the answer as this will be seen by a wider audience. Thanks for your understanding Cheers June 9, 2007:
Hi Guys This site like many uses animated .gif files for various effects, I have a number of Sponsor logos which are animated .gif files as well as the PMMS header on the inside pages, but if you are using Zone Alarm as your Firewall you may not see these working. The reason for this is the latest update from Zone Alarm has a privacy setting that disables pop-up adds and also animated .gif files as they have decided only adds use these animations. A bit presumptuous for mine. To get the animated .gif files working again, open up the Zone Alarm Control Center, go to the Privacy pane and turn off Ad Blocking. You could also try in the Privacy pane > Custom and Un-check animation but I had to turn off Ad blocking altogether to get the animated .gifs working again. The .gif files will again display as intended. This may also be an issue with other Firewall programs as they try and combat the ever intrusive pop-up adds and other unwanted rubbish on the net with some side effects unfortunately. If you are using IE as your browser (but why would you?) you may also have to goto Tools > Internet Options - under Multimedia, tick Play animations in webpages*. Terry A June7, 2007:
Just a quick update to again apologies for the slow updates recently, I'm currently setting up my new PC as a result of the recent problems mentioned below. But it's almost sorted and things should hopefully be back to normal in a day or so. I might just mention that the Bronco Humber SC is winging its way to me now with a full review to be posted soon after it arrives, probably mid week. Thanks for your patience with the PC hassles. Hi guys, I've just had a major hardware failure which means site updates may be restricted for a few days until things are back to normal. Sorry for any inconvenience but as Zaphod would say. Cheers March 15, 2007:
I don't normally do this as many things can come up stymie the plans of mice and men but I have the following kits on the bench with the reviews hopefully being posted over the next few days, well maybe over the week? Bronco CB-35003 Belehlpanzer 38H(f) Who said you need sleep? Stay tuned January 26, 2007:

We have just been through one of the best years for new kits of very high quality and numerous small vendors coming on line with many excellent accessorties and indications are 2007 will continue the trend. All the best for the New year |
