Cromwell Mk.VII Type "F" Hull
1/35th Scale By Alistair Morton
The Accurate Armour kit is
built basically from the box, painted and weathered using Tamiya Acrylics
The Type "F" hull differs from the "C" and "D" by the addition of a second
side opening hatch for the driver. Mk.VII vehicles are distinguished from Mk.IV's
by
the additional armour on the hull and turret front.
The scrim netting around the turret and hull was made by adding 3M "Micro Port" Surgical
tape cut into strips. It is self adhesive tape and was stuck to a sheet of glass
(safety edges of coarse) to cut into the strips.
This was then stuck to surgical gauze, painted the appropriate colour and applied
to the model.
