the 13th DBLE is a French unit of famous Foreign legion formed in spring 1940 for the Norway campaign; after retreating to England they joigned the French Free Forces and moved in 1941to middle east with British troops. By 1942 they were part of British 8th Army, located in southern Lybia where they stopped Rommel's offensive with fierce fights against Axis forces at Bir Hakeim. the Redux set is based on Master Box "British infantry in North Africa" combined with resin parts; it contains 5 figures of "legionnaires" featuring typical mix of british desert uniform with french equipment: heads with "white képi",MAS 36 rifles, cartridge pouches, holster,etc .
