Issue 20 continues the high quality with some impressive models with the contents as follows:
Canuck Cougar by Jason Bobrowich (pages 2-12)
Using the Hobby Fan Cougar kit plus Maple Leaf Models wheels
and additional etched and scratch parts Jason builds the Cougar he Commanded
in his Bosnian
tour of 1994. The article has progress shots of the model under construction
as well as of the finished model supported by descriptive text and additional
photos of the real Cougars taken during his tour for instant reference.
Red Alert by Ulf Andersson (pages 13-21)
The Tamiya T-55 is backdated to the earlier m58 with the use of some Blast
Models parts, etched parts with the Eduard metal barrel and Friulmodel tracks to represent a T-55 from Prague 1968. There are a couple of shots
during assembly but mostly of the finished painted model on a small scenic
street base with an interesting finish with the tank splashed with a couple
of buckets of red paint thrown by the protestors for a model different from
the normal.
Prague 1968 by Mark Solar (pages 22-27)
This short section describes the events in Prague in 1968 accompanied by many
excellent "action" shots showing the events as they unfolded for a very informative
article.
The M103 Heavy Tank Family by David Doyle (pages 28-37)
Another useful reference feature with many period photos of the M103 plus
a brief technical description, most of the images are overall general photos
that show the overall features of the M103A1 and M103A2 plus line general
layout drawings.
Xtreme detail T43 pilot (pages 38-39)
A brief walkaround with close-up detail photos of the exterior of the T43 pilot
model of the eventual M103 series.
Xtreme detail M103 (pages 40-43)
An excellent walkaround of the M103 with detail shots of the hull, turret
and suspension that show many of the details modellers always look for.
Euro Militaire 2004 Part 2 (pages 44-49)
Part 2 of the Euro Militaire 2004 show coverage with
numerous colour photos the prize winning models.
Keeping Track - New releases (pages 48-53)
The usual 6 page run down on new products for the modeller with brief descriptions
and photos of the products featured.
Firely Vc by Bryan Gray (pages 56-64)
The third incarnation of the Firefly by Dragon is built using parts from Academy,
Formations and Aber etched brass and a set of RHPS Steel Chevron tracks with
numerous photos of the model during construction showing the extra details
added as well as of the finished model mounted on a small section of city
street and a couple of figures for an overall nicely finished model.
The issue continues the excellent trend of this magazine with more excellent modelling and reference material.
