This issue is again made up of only two large sections.
The first 102
pages is part 3 of Soviet Heavy Tanks (2) of WWII.
The vehicles covered in the issue are the IS-2M, IS-3, IS-4, IS-7, IS-8 and
the T-10M.
1/48th plans are
included for the IS-2M and IS-4 plus 1/35th plans for the IS-3 (1945) and the
T-10M.
To supplement these plans are detailed line drawings of various sections of
the vehicles including many internal drawings of the IS-3.
As well as the
plans and drawings are sensational close-up photos that would make any Russian
armour fan salivate. The IS-2 gets 6 pages with 30 pages devoted to the IS-3M,
no part of the vehicle exterior is spared.
To top this off is 11 pages of exceptional photos of the T-10M including the
rear engine decks.
The final section is a continuation of the photo essay with text (in Japanese) on the History of Stug Unit and the 48 Pz.Korps during the first 60 days of Operation Barbarossa. Featuring mainly Panzer III's and many support vehicles plus infantry photos make up a nice coverage.
Another excellent issue of the excellent magazine for armour enthusiasts.
