This issue is
broken into two major large sections.
The first 4 pages have colour profiles of Panther A cam schemes.
M26 Pershing
(pages 5-90)
The first 20 pages deal with the development of the Pershing through the T20,
T22, T23 and T25 series with a number of photos of the prototypes and development
vehicles.
The next 12 pages deal with the development of the T26E1 to the T26E5 again
with photos of the various versions including 4 pages with shots of the E5 Super
Pershing.
Pages 52-77 sees the M26 in extreme detail with many illustrations from the
M26 manual along with excellent drawings of various vehicle sections. These
have interior and exterior details with just about everything covered including
the engine in and out of the vehicle, full turret details and everything in
between. There are also a few wartime pictures of the M26, most of which have
been seen in other publications but the majority of the coverage is devoted
to the details.
The next six pages have close up exteriors photos of the M46 followed by 6 pages
with shots of the M26/M46 in action in Korea, again most of these have been
seen before.
BT Fast Tank
Series (2) (pages 91-144)
This is part 2 on the BT series and covers the BT-7 and BT-7M.
There are many wartime photos of both versions with quite a few of destroyed
vehicles. Along with the photos are four sets of 1/35 plans of different versions
of the BT-7, two show variations on model 1935 and 2 have variations of the
model 1937.
There is also 6 pages with close-up details of the BT-7 along with the excellent
drawings now common in the Ground Power issues.
Another excellent issue of this magazine.
