Review by Terry Ashley
While small in size, measuring 8 3/8” x 6” (213mm x 153mm) and with just 48 pages, the book is packed with super close up photos of all those details modellers really love.
The first few of pages have a short technical description of the vehicle and some wartime shots of Russian vehicles with the remaining pages devoted to the photos with captions and text in Polish and English with the photos split evenly between colour and B&W.
Every part of the vehicle is covered in great detail with multiple pages devoted to each sub section of the vehicle.
The exterior walk around has extreme close-up photos of virtually every part of the vehicle including insect like views of the underside drive train and suspension with extreme close ups of other details such as the windscreen shown open and closed to the front winch and door handles.
The cab interior and engine compartment are also shown in equally good detail with the detail supplemented with a few illustrations from the tech manual.
Below are a few sample pages that best illustrate the detailed images.
A superb photo reference on the Studebaker and if you only want a single modelling reference then this would easily be the one as the photos are simply superb and answer any questions on the vehicles features.
Model Detail Photo Monographs are distributed by AirConnection Canada.
