The recent Trumpeter 1/32nd kit of the Curtiss P-40B is built basically from
the box with numerous colour photos of the model during and after construction
showing the attractive desert cam scheme.
AFV Kit Review
British Bulldog by Marcus Nicholls (pages 32-39)
Marcus gets to grips with the new Tamiya Challenger 2 adding extra details
and finishing the model in a well worn desert finish of a C2 from Operation
Telic.
There are close-up colour photos of the detail added to the kit as well as
the painting process adding the well worn scuffed look to the finish using
a technique that is both fairly easy and gives a realistic finish.
This
is a very useful article for adding detail to Challenger 2 and the techniques
used for the paint finish can also be applied to other models.

The usual run down on new books for the modeller with brief reviews
and cover photos of the books featured.

This section features new Kits and Accessories with a brief description of the
item listed plus photos of the accessory kit contents and is one of the most
useful sections of the magazine keeping you informed on what's new. The items
listed cover the same themes as the magazine with Military and Civilian vehicles
plus Aircraft and figures as well as tools and decals.
AFV Kit Review
Red Star Rising by Marcus Nicholls (pages 54-59)
Marcus has been busy this issue with this second model of the Dragon T-34-76
Mod.1940 built with the addition of Aber's metal barrel (#35L23)
and etched sets #35045 and #G07, ModelKasten metal tracks, Moskit metal exhaust,
Karaya tow cables and PSP clear headlight lenses.
The many photos of the model
during construction and after painting are supplemented with descriptive text
for what is another impressive looking kit.

The issue continues the excellent trend of this magazine and one thing not mentioned above is that intermingled with the reviews and articles are the pages of vendor adverts, these are well worth looking through for info on new releases and where to get them.
