Alpine Miniatures
WW2 German Tanker
1/35th Figure Set No. 35001

The first figure from Alpine Miniatures is of a German Tanker holding a flare pistol aloft about to fire, an interesting pose.

The figure is cast in a light grey resin to a high standard with the usual casting blocks and some minor casting seams to be removed before assembly.

The figure is broken down in the usual manner with full body; separate head and arms, there are actually two heads for a choice of head wear, one with an Officer’s cap and the other a field cap. He wears a pair of reversible winter trousers and double breasted tankers tunic with a folded map stuffed in the front and also wears a pair of gloves.

The detail on the figures is excellent with well defined uniform details and fabric folds as well as facial features that will come up well when painted and is also scaled more too true 1/35th based on an average sized person.

A nice feature of this figure is that the sculptor has realised that when you lift your arm your shoulder actually raises with the lower edge of the tunic also rising accordingly and this is portrayed in the figure for a nice touch of realism.

There are no paining instructions included but the subject matter is well known and choosing of camouflage pattern for the trousers shouldn’t be a problem?

In all a simple yet good looking figure that should fine a home in any setting and offers you your own choice of cam finishes for the trousers.

Recommended.
