Alpine Miniatures
Cold War Soviet Tanker
1/35th Figure Set No. 35003

The third figure from Alpine is of a Soviet Tanker from the 60s/70s/80s and wears the standard Soviet tanker overalls, gloves and with two alternate heads, one with the Soviet leather tankers helmet and the other a beret. The details on the tankers helmet are excellent with nice details on the back and sides, the protruding flaps are prone to damage if not careful as they are quite thin. (One was broken in my set but easy enough to repair).

The figure is in a relaxed pose resting against the rim of a T54/T55 turret hatch with indentations on the back to fit the hatch opening contours and has one arm resting on his thigh and the other on the top of the opened loaders hatch.

Uniform details are very well done with crisp well defined details with one collar folded up (this unfortunately was also broken and needed repair) and the two separate arms fit precisely with no gaps to fill.

There are no paining instructions included but the subject matter is well known and painting shouldn’t be a problem.

Another simple yet well detailed figure to add a relaxed air to your T45/T55.
