This figure from Alpine Miniatures is the companion to set #35045 and sees another Waffen- SS NCO also in a semi-relaxed standing pose wearing the Waffen-SS Panzer Jacket and also a pair of leather trousers of the type originally issued to U-Boat crews with a pair of binoculars around his neck. The figure has the usual choice of two heads with excellent facial features and one wearing a Officer's cap and the other field cap and is also armed with a Walther P38 holster in his belt.

The full body is again cast as one piece with just the heads and arms as separate parts with excellent uniform details including all the pockets, lapels and fabric seams in the right places plus a nicely rendered scarf around his neck.

There was virtually no cleanup needed apart from the usual small casting blocks to be removed but there was some minor casting seams between the lower legs which are easy to remove. Assembly is very straightforward with the fit of the arms being spot on requiring no trimming or filler while the heads also fit neatly into the collar.

As with previous figures I added a small “wire” pin to the neck to go into a hole drilled into the body but again this is a personal thing to make fitting and swapping the heads easy and not a reflection of the fit which is perfect if you just want to glue the chosen head in place. This also allows the heads to be painted separate and easily attached later.

Conclusion:
Another excellent figure from Alpine with excellent uniform and facial details and the usual alternate head offering good choice and with form a perfect late war Waffen-SS Panzer crew in conjunction with set #35045

Highly recommended 9/10
