The quality of the etching is excellent as with past ABER sets with very fine details as well as embossed and engraved details plus the usual engraved bending lines where needed.
The typical raised ribs on the fenders required you to emboss the etched channels using a rounded piece of wood or ballpoint pen with the instructions giving a step bt step how too to do this job best.
All the fender support brackets are provided with separate small etched bolt heads to add where required.
As the kit fenders are separate form the hull there is no surgery required with the etched fenders simple replacing the kit parts during assembly.
Conclusion:
These fenders give a better scale appearance than the thicker plastic parts
and also allow realistic damage to be added if required and no special skills
are needed to add them.
Highly recommended
