The metal barrel is finished to a high standard without any surface blemishes and includes fine rifling in the drilled out muzzle. The detail on the resin mantlet is excellent with subtle cast texture and well defined bolt head details as well as the cut out for the co-ax MG.
The barrel fits very snugly into the resin mantlet and the instructions indicate the modifications needed to fit the new resin mantlet to the Dragon or Tamiya kits which are quite straightforward and shouldn't present any problems.
Conclusion:
A nicely machined barrel with well detailed mantlet and with only minor adjustments
needed to fit the barrel/mantlet offers a quick update to provide enhanced
details on any KV-1 kit.
Highly recommended.
