Each set has three sprues included for a total of 54 wing nuts in each set and 90 nuts and bolts in each set allowing one set to be used with a number of models.
The wing nuts are moulded extremely small and fine with a small hole included
in the single German style wing nut and do not look at all over scale. Each
wing nut comes moulded on a thin stem and the easiest way of attaching them
to the model would be to drill a small hole and insert the stem allowing
for quick and easy placement.
You will have to take care when applying the glue as the wing nuts are so
fine excessive plastic glue could ‘melt’ them but if you use
the drilling method only a very small dab of glue would needed as opposed
to gluing the nuts directly to the model surface. A small dab of cyanoacrylate
could also be used to attach the nuts directly to plastic or etched surfaces.
The three sets of wing nuts are:
The nuts and bolts sets are also moulded very small and again will look good
on the model but as they are so small and a rounded profile care will be needed
when cutting from the sprue and in attaching to the model as they could prove
a bit “slippery” to handle.
The German style hex bolts have the head details nicely defined but being so
small its actually hard to see with the naked eye but will come up very well
when highlighted on the model.
The half round and round nuts are of the type seen on many vehicles will have
numerous applications on vehicles as well as other diorama accessories such as
building fittings and the like.
The three sets released are:
Conclusion:
These are extremely useful accessory sets for the vehicle and diorama builder
with the parts being moulded very fine so as not to look overly big when attached
and also being in plastic will make working with them that much easier.
These sets will be available from the same outlets that carry the full Bronco kits and will be a nice to have on hand at all times.
Highly recommended
Thanks to Bronco Models for the review sets.
