Turret details/assembly
Main turret parts.
Cupola parts, note all small panels are different and it's advisable to write the part numbers on the
parts before removing from the sprues to avoid any mix ups.
Assembled cupola, fit is good overall but watch the instructions as they are confusing on what parts go where.
The parts to attach the gun mantlet are very small and it is easiest to first glue the right attachment part H34
in place and let dry completely before fitting the gun mounting.
You then slip the gun mounting into place and add the left attachment bracket (part H34)
ensure you don't get glue onto the mounting pin if you want the gun to elevate after assembly
.
Final turret assembly, fit of the panels is very good due to the bevelling on the joins leaving no trimming or filling required.
Additional images of turret assembly showing good fit of the parts.
Front view of turret, note Vickers co-axial MG barrel needs to be drilled out for a better appearance.
Turret ring attachment notches that just clip into the hull turret ring
without the conventional turret ring cut-out notches.
This view also shows the panel join notches as mentioned in the review text.
