This set is designed to be used in conjunction with the Italeri 5t truck kits No.279 M-923A1 or No.284 M-925. Consisting of approx 107 resin parts, this is a major conversion. The only parts of the plastic kits used are the chassis and front cab, the entire rear section is replaced with resin parts. Also included in the kit are replacement resin wheels, this would have been a nice touch for the earlier M984A1 conversion also.

The rear wrecker section is built up on a large casting of the rear tray, the sub assemblies are very detailed and care is needed during assembly. The instructions are fairly detailed but there are some areas vague in their placement. Overall the instructions are quite good as far as resin update set instructions go but additional reference would be essential to build this kit.

This is not a kit for the inexperienced modeller but with care will build into an impressive kit. The Eduard etched set No.35-088 'M923A1' would also be useful.
