1/35th Russian Amminition
Reviews by Terry Ashley
Hussar Productions have released a series of WWII Russian Ammo in machined brass and aluminium which are produced to the highest standards.

The sets include 45mm, 76mm, 85mm, 100mm, 122mm and 152mm ammo to cover all Russian ammo types of WWII.

All sets except the 45mm sees the different type rounds separate from the brass shell cases with the rounds fitting into the cases just like the real thing and also include a decal sheet with stencilling for the rounds and cases (except the 45mm ammo set).

The tank rounds and shell cases have the correct profile for each type while the brass shell cases have the first 1/3rd hollowed out to accept the round or if used on their own, the shell cases also have the central base cap details included.

Fitting the rounds to the shell case required the opening of the shell case to be slightly enlarged on some of the cases and this was achieved by lightly shaving the inside of the case with an X-Acto 11 blade as it only required the smallest of adjustment.

A letter sized instruction sheet is included with each set that gives painting instructions and stencil placement data as well as a couple of images showing the interior storage racks for some of the vehicles.

Just a quick note on the images below, the scanning process gives the impression of blemishes on the metal parts but they are in fact finished to a high level and are perfectly smooth.
