Turret roof Images
*Dragon kit has the forward roof section as part of the turret shell while the Tristar kit has this as separate
part and I have isolated the Dragon roof section in the image for the purposed of comparison.
*The central ventilation bullet splash guard is also a deparate part on the Dragon kit but I have attached this to the roof in the image for again a better comparison.
*The ventilator hatch bullet splash is too narrow and far too deep on the Dragon roof while the
Tristar part matches the available plans perfectly.
*The venitilator hatch is also the wrong size on the Dragon kit but correct with the Tristar part.
*Both kits have some flush screws out of position but this far more a problem with the Dragon roof.
*Reproduction of the 1:35 plan of the turret roof from Ground Power, Model Art and Panzer Tracts
which all concur on the roof detail layout, sizes and positions of the bolts.
*The relevant items have been overlaid on the kit parts to show the locations.
Red colour used for contast.
*Roof ventilation hatch
*Rear sections of the turret roof with each kit having separate signal ports and grab handles.
Cut out for ventilation hatch too small on Dragon roof as per above.
