This is another simple wheel set from Tank Workshop, this time providing the four rear wheels for the Krupp Protze (Tamiya kits #35104 and #35259) with snow chains included and the set having just the four wheels cast in light gray resin.

The resin wheels are based on the Tamiya kit wheels which themselves have excellent rim and tyre tread detail especially for their vintage with the chains added in cleanly cast resin leaving just a small pour plug and some fine resin film around this to be removed.

The resulting scar can easily be hidden at ground contact when fitting to the kit for a quick and easy update.

While the chain is cleanly done without any excess resin film to be removed the individual links are not hollow but this is not really that noticeable and is virtually impossible to do in resin given the small size in any case and they look the part.

As the wheels are based on the kit wheels they fit directly to the kit axles as per instructions without any further alterations required making for a quick and easy update.

Another quick and easy wheel update for the Tamiya Protze kits with the chains giving a different look to the kit for more variety. The chains are cleanly cast in place and as mentioned the solid chain links are not really that noticeable when on the model. In a diorama they would most likely be covered in mud or snow in any case.

The chains have a natural sit and look most convincing to give a different charachter to your Protze model.
