The guards are cast quite thin and designed so when cut from the casting block there is only minor cleanup needed as are the other parts while the detail on the periscopes is excellent with finely rendered details.

Included along with the guards are two styles of periscope covers and a full M6 periscope plus a periscope cast in upper and lower sections as well as the empty container. This gives a good choice of situations for hatches with cut-outs for the periscopes or solid hatches as well as depicting the hatch without periscope fitted.

The only nit pick is the guards are a little thick but couldn’t be any thinner or they wouldn’t come out of the casting moulds and are quite delicate with care needed when cleaning up and in handling.

An excellent periscope set that will add detail definition to any Sherman or other US vehicle.
