This set from Voyager gives you a full set of fenders for the Dragon Panzer IV Ausf.E (kit #6264 and #6301) with one large fret of finely etched parts for the fenders and other parts plus a small fret with many small wing bolts used all over German vehicles plus thin lengths of plastic rod and wire for the working hinges and fender brackets as well as the instruction sheet.
The quality of the etchings is superb in common other Voyager sets with very cleanly etched parts, embossed tread plate and the usual engraved bending lines for easy bending.
Each fender has the full length fender frame with separate tread plate panels just like the real fenders with additional parts for the underside fender brackets and the many small bolt heads as well as the folding fender sections at the front and back of each fender.
Additional parts are included for the engine intake covers and the small wing nuts and hull side brackets for the covers.
The fender frames have full length side brackets that need to be bent at right angles and an etched bending tool will be needed for best results such as the Hold & Fold 8” or the new Ausfwerks Fender Bender.
The underside fender brackets are provided plus additional smaller brackets for attaching to the hull sides.
The separate tread plate panels have the cross hatch pattern with raised detail on the top and small engraved patterns on the underside and these panels attach to the fender frames with all the small bolts to add if you wish.
The separate folding end fender sections are included with the rear section having separate top panels as well as workable hinges as do the front fender sections and these make for extremely delicate and well detailed assemblies.
The single page instruction sheet has the usual exploded view drawings showing the assembly sequences which shouldn’t pose any problems.
Conclusion:
A nicely detailed fender set for the Dragon Panzer IV Ausf.E kits that offer
extremely fine and well defined details with the workable hinges for the
end sections adding more detail details plus the ability to add authentic
battle damage if required.
Highly Recommended.
