British Light Tank Mark VI B
Vulcan Scale Models 1:35 Kit #56008
Preview by Terry Ashley
The standard of plastic moulding is very good overall with only some minor flash on a few parts and few if any pin marks on the parts visible after assembly other than the tracks, hull and turret surface details are also nicely done with many fine rivet heads although some of the engraves panel lines are a little on the heavy side.
The only interior included in the kit is the driver’s seat with the compartment bulkheads included in the lower hull tub ready for any aftermarket interior sets that may come. The turret hatches also include interior details and padding free from pin marks but there are no turret interior details included. The exterior on the other hand is quite busy for such a small vehicle with the etched parts adding nice detail definition.
The suspension bogies use the metal springs provided but you will need to take care as there are actually four different sized springs packed in the same plastic zip lock bag. You will have to carefully identify the springs before assembly as there isn’t a lot of difference between the long and short springs of each type.
The tracks are link and length in the same grey plastic but there is some fine flash on the links sections that will need a bit of clean-up. The longer track sections for the top and bottom runs with the smaller three link section around the drive sprockets and idlers wheels.
The nicely printed decal sheets has markings for two vehicles in the pre-early war scheme of khaki and dark green cam with paint numbers given for Life Color, Mr. Color and Tamiya paints.
