Issue 4

Published bimonthly by AFV Modeller Ltd.
65 pages soft cover A4 format.

This fourth issue of this excellent magazine again features some superb modelling subjects as well a nice reference material.

This issue starts with an interesting conversion of the old Tamiya M3 halftrack into an ACAV version used by the South Lebanese Army. As well as the construction article there are numerous photos of the real vehicle for reference.

The next 9 pages feature the New Dragon Panther A in an in-depth construction article by David Parker. David has added to the already excellent kit with extensive detailing using ABER etched brass with many fine close-up photos of the kit during construction.

Following this is a short reference feature with excellent wartime photos of early Panther As in Italy 1944-45 giving some good background to the kit.

A simple diorama by Graeme Newman featuring a Steyr 1500 radio car with some interesting groundwork is followed by an in-depth look at a Swedish S-Tank with some excellent close-up photos including interior shots.

Following this is part 3 of the Dragon Elephant build this time dealing with the painting weathering of the kit with some nice close-up detail photos.

Continuing the German theme is a build by Gary Edmundson of the Tamiya Sturmtiger with the MR Modellbau resin conversion to an early Sturmtiger, again there are a number of construction pics included.

"Keeping Track" a short section featuring new release information is next and this is followed by the final article is of an ACE 1/72 scale BRDM-2 by Alex Clarke. The detail in this small scale has certainly improved in the last few years as this kit shows.

Another issue of this high quality magazine for the dedicated armour modeller that features some excellent modelling subjects. Well worth getting a hold of a copy.
