This issues comprises three main sections.
The first section
of 70 pages has three subsections covering the SP vehicles which were fitted
with the 15cm sIG33 howitzer.
The first 14 pages show the 15cm sIG33(sf)auf PzKpfw I Ausf B and consists
entirely of wartime in-actions photos of the vehicle.
Following this is 12 pages of the 15cm sIG33 auf Fahrgestell PzKpfw II (SF),
again the photos are of the vehicle in action in the African campaign.
The remaining 44 pages are devoted to the 15cm sIG33 (SF)auf PzKpfw 38(t)
Ausf H Sd.Kfz138/1 Grille. This has many wartime photos as well as good
close-ups including the interior of the fighting compartment, as well as 1/35
plans of an Ausf K Grille.
M4A2 Sherman:
The second section of 56 pages continues the coverage of the Sherman with the
M4A2 featured in great detail.
The M4A2 75 has a number of photos of the pilot vehicles as well as a large
number of wartime photos from each theatre the A2 served in. To compliment these
photos are interior layout diagrams with many detailed illustrations including
the steering mechanism, electrical wiring diagrams, ammo storage layout and
the engine bays. The engine bay illustrations include diagrams of the engine
as well as the engine bay itself and this is further complimented with a couple
of photos of the power pack being lifted out of the vehicle by a Scammel Heavy
wrecker.
The many wartime photos have excellent diorama potential.
The M4A2 76 is covered in the final 7 pages of this section with a few photos
of the pilot model and inaction shots.
The final 13 pages has part three of the series on soft skinned vehicles of the British Army, this time 30cwt trucks are covered including those of the LRDG in Nth Africa. Again the photos are all wartime inaction shots with no real detailed shots but useful all the same.
Another excellent issue of this magazine.
