Update set for DUKW

Consisting of 34 resin pieces cast in a light cream resin the quality of the pieces is excellent with fine details and no blemishes evident. There is some fine resin ‘flash’ to be cleaned off some parts due to the finesse of the castings and the usual casting blocks to be removed.
The main items in the set are a new rear winch assemble with nicely cast details and the MG ring mount for the front cab. This consists of the main ring, a very nice M2 .50cal MG and ammo box and the support legs.
Other bits include fire extinguishers, jerry can holders and other small items such as the wing nuts for the forward hull.
The instructions are in the form of two A4 sheets with photos of the parts during assembly and also fitted onto the kit to make it easy to see where they go. Construction notes in both French and English are provided and these seem easy to follow and should make using the set trouble free.
Overall this is a well cast update set for the Italeri DUKW to add extra details as well as the MG ring. Blast Models also produce a separate kit with a full rear canvas cover for the DUKW if you want the covered look.
