This is a simple conversion designed for the Tamiya Renault UE (kit #35284) providing German modifications to captured UEs when used to tow light artillery such as the 3.7cm Pak36/37 AT Gun. The set consists of 9 parts in light cream resin with the quality of the castings being excellent with well defined crisp details and just the small casting blocks to be removed before fitting to the kit.
Detail on the parts is very good with nicely done wood grain on the bench seat panels and well defined detail on the lower tow hitch without any blemishes such as air holes etc. on any of the parts.
Only one minor alteration is required to the Tamiya kit to fit the new resin parts, you simply omit the rear cargo bay panel (part B19) and fit the resin bench seat inside the bay, the fit was perfect requiring no additional trimming.
The foot rest panel simply glues to the underside of the cargo bay and the lower tow hitch and pintle parts fit to the rear fender bar, you will have to trim off the left side light from the bar for the hitch to fit but other than that no other alterations are required.
You can also use the Blast Models Renault UE Update set (#BL35117K) to add additional exterior detail as well as the Azimut Renault UE Update set (#35373) to add the full interior if you wish?
Conclusion:
This is a simple update with nicely cast parts, little assembly and easy fit to the Tamiya UE for the simplest conversion for UEs in German service.
