Forcing the front hull together still leaves gaps at either side resuting in the nose cap (part C3) not fitting correctly.

Fitting the hull parts together WITHOUT the rear hull plate (part R5) sees the sponsons mate nicely.
But there is still the large gap at the front as before.

Upper rear plate fitted, again without the lower rear plate (left).
and the lower plate fitted in place, don't worry about the side gap that will be fixed when glued proper

Upper and lower hull plate mismatch as with previous kits requiring considerable
work to remedy

The underside sponson gaps still remain after getting the upper hull parts to fit
