Decal Sheet No. ALT352009
Review by Terry Ashley
This second sheet covering the French Chars B1 bis markings is again designed
for the recent Tamiya French Battle Tank
B1 bis (kit #35282)
with markings for 23 specific vehicles plus additional
generic markings and includes captured Chars Bs in German use and Free French
tanks during the liberation of France.
The sheet is again printed by Microscale with excellent
colour register and very thin carrier film cropped close to the printed image
that should react well with any decal setting solution to help reduce silvering
after application.
Included on the sheet are flame-thrower tanks of 7.SS and s.Pz.Kp.223 in
overall Panzer Grey, normal gun tanks of Pz.Abt.213 in the German cam scheme
of Dark Yellow, Red Brown and Green patterns plus Free French tanks in overall
olive drab during the liberation of France for a very good variety giving
plenty of choice.
For the German tanks using the Blast Models B1
bis Update Set German Version (set #BL35107K)
or the new German
B1 bis Flammenwerfer (set #BL35110K)
would provide the conversion parts needed to make these conversions
easy.
The full colour instruction sheet provides a large side view showing
the camouflage scheme and decal placement for each vehicle plus some additional
turret views for the alternate unit markings.
Also included is a list of notable references available to provide additional
info on the sheet markings.

Conclusion:
Overall this is another well-produced set from Echelon and
provides a very good selection of
markings for German Char Bs and later war French vehicles not often covered
to provide some real choice of markings for the Tamiya kit.
Highly recommended
