One of the major drawbacks of vinyl tyres and plastic rims is the tendency to ‘eat’ plastic due to chemical reactions and these resin replacements fix that problem.
The set contains eight rear wheels, two front and two spare wheels which is enough for the BA-* armoured cars with some left over if using them for the GAZ trucks or ZiS-3 with the wheels cast in light cream resin with just the usual casting blocks and fine resin film in the wheels cut-outs to be cleaned up.
The resulting ‘scar’ after removal of the casting block is very small and can be positioned at the ground contact and out of sight. The casting ‘scar’ on the rear wheels is positioned so when the cut-outs are lined up they are at the bottom of both wheels top make hiding these easy.
The detail on the wheels and rims is excellent with fine tread pattern and embossing on the tyre sidewalls with well defined hub bolt head details that also include the small bolts around the inner rims on the rear wheels.
Overall an excellent set of wheels with well defined details and only a minimum of cleanup required and will greatly enhance the wheels on the target kits.
