Tiger I Initial Production

Lion Roar 1:35 set #LE35049
Review by Terry Ashley

Dragon
Lion Roar have provided this basic etched update set for the Dragon Tiger I initial (Kit #6252) which consists of three etched frets and two long lengths of thin wire and a short length of plastic rod.

The quality of the etching is excellent with cleanly etched parts and the usual engraved bending lines to make life easier during assembly.

The first thing about this set is the conspicuous absence of any engine deck screens and you will have to find these elsewhere.

Included in the set are new front fenders with the diamond pattern embossing which have two part workable hinges using the thing wire provided with the remainder of the parts for the finer details around the kit.

These included all the tool clips and brackets for the hull top and rear plate mounted tools plus the fire extinguisher and jack mountings.

The turret and hull hatches have latches and handles replaced with etched parts as well as the internal hinges for the hull hatches while the mounting brackets and latches are provided for the turret stowage bins.

The instructions are exploded view drawings showing the fitting of the parts and assembly sequences where needed and are quite clear and easy to follow.

Conclusion:
This is a very basic update set when compared to the Voyager Models sets also reviewed today and the absence of the engine deck screens limits the appeal of this set considerably.
